EVERYDAY SCHOOL

When does school start?

School operations will start in the 2023/2024 school year, i.e. on August 7, 2023. The prerequisite for this is that the approval requirements of the NRW School Act and the Ordinance on Substitute Schools (ESchVO) are met and that the Sieben Brücken Comprehensive School is allowed to start school operations as a state-recognized comprehensive school .

How many children are accepted at the Sieben Brücken Schule?

In the first and second year of operation (2023/2024 and 2024/2025) we offer up to 25 places per class in grades 5 and 7. Duality is the rule. From the school year 2025/2026 we can set up two 5th grades each with around 25 children. In the final phase, around 450 pupils will study at the Sieben Brücken Schule.

Will school fees recover?

No, there are no school fees. In order to keep the school running, however, we need an average of around €150 per child per month in addition to the grants from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. You can use this amount as a guideline. You donate on a voluntary basis as much as our educational work is worth to you and depending on how much you can pay.

According to what criteria are students admitted?

The pedagogical directors of the school decide on the admission after an admission and counseling interview individually and depending on suitability. In particular, the parents' willingness to cooperate and the child's wishes play a decisive role. The amount of the monthly donation contribution is not the subject of the discussion.

What qualifications are offered at the Sieben Brücken Schule?

All qualifications and courses of study that are otherwise offered at comprehensive schools are offered.

What are the lesson times?

Your child can be cared for at school from 7.30 a.m. Lessons start at 8:45 am. Voluntary educational offers are set up on Mondays and Fridays until 4 p.m. Classes are held until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Can children with special educational needs be admitted?

Yes. We set up around three places for children with special needs each year.

Are there special course contents or deviations from the state curriculum?

no All specifications, curricula and guidelines of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia apply.

The founders of the Seven Bridges School are Christian families. What does this mean for educational work at school?

The Sieben Brücken Schule is not a denominational school and is open to all children. There is also no compulsory religious education. The foundation of our educational efforts is the inalienable dignity of every human being. Our educational concept Leader in Me is central to a school culture that conveys security, trust and appreciation by practicing a sense of responsibility and life skills.

How does internal differentiation take place?

As a rule, the learning groups are not divided into different, geographically and organizationally separated groups, but are equipped with individually adapted tasks and learning plans. You can find out more about this in our concept for individual support.

Which languages can my child learn?

In grade 5 we offer English as a foreign language. Spanish can also be chosen in class 7.
